CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN IMPLEMENTING SKILL-BASED LEARNING ON THE CONCEPT OF ADAPTABILITY

Abstract

Skill-based learning is becoming increasingly crucial in facing the dynamic changes in work and everyday life. Adaptability is one of the key skills that students must have to be successful in an ever-changing environment. This article aims to identify the challenges and opportunities in implementing skills-based learning and how this approach can improve students' adaptability. This study uses a literature study method, reviewing various literature and the latest research from the last five years (2019-2024) related to skills-based learning and adaptability. Literature sources were obtained from academic journals, educational organization reports, and other official publications. The literature analysis shows that skills-based learning can significantly improve students' adaptability. However, its implementation has several challenges, including a lack of training for educators, limited resources, and resistance to curriculum change. On the other hand, there are great opportunities to utilize technology and innovative pedagogical approaches to overcome these challenges. Skill-based learning can improve students' adaptability if implemented with the right strategies and supported by adequate resources. Successful implementation requires collaboration between educators, policymakers, and educational institutions.
