IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TRADITIONAL GAME BASED LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE THE CHARACTER OF GLOBAL DIVERSITY IN SOCIAL STUDIES LEARNING

Abstract

Traditional games have been part of Indonesian cultural traditions with local wisdom values for generations. Developing a learning model based on local wisdom of traditional games through social studies lesson content can be an efficient step. This study aims to improve the character of global diversity in social studies learning through the conventional game-based learning model. This study uses a qualitative approach and a descriptive analysis method by describing a phenomenon, event, and event that occurs at the present moment. The researcher tries to photograph the events and events that are the center of attention to be described as they are. Observation, interviews, and literature studies carry out data collection techniques. The study results show that the traditional game-based learning model can improve the diversity of students through five comprehensive stages, namely orientation, exploration, experience, reflection, and application. This study concludes that the Traditional Game-Based Learning model can have a meaningful learning impact and improve the character of global diversity by the expected character in the Kurikulum Merdeka in social studies learning.
